Hey Lynne.
I see there are 3 of you now. Congratulations!
I'm glad that I'm able to keep in touch now.
How are things?

hey Aaron, good to hear from you! thanks, we actually have another coming in October. Very surreal, being a parent. Things are good. We are in Philly. I just started making art again about 8 months ago. so I am excited about that. Where are you now?

Hey Lynne. October is a good month for a birthday.
That's when I was born. Pumpkins, sweaters, apple cider and beautiful leaves. All good memories.
I saw some of your drawings on the blog. The birds
look really sweet. I love the shapes of birds.
The best bird drawer/painter was Audubon. Excellent reference, I have some fat books.
They have an Audubon society her in Prospect Park. Which sort of answers your question. I live in Brooklyn. I have for the last 8 years since grad school in Chicago. I used to live a stones throw away from L.I.C where that show is you guys are coming up for. I'd like to make it to the opening.
Next time I'm in Philly I'd like to visit your studios in the church. They look amazing.
I'm impressed that you guys are able to incorporate your artistic interests and have children. Many of many of my friends are having trouble with that. I guess it somes down to balance, patience and dedication.
I have a nephew that I spend a lot of time with. My sister is single and still lives in Philly. Although she's looking for a new, safe apartment.
Anyhow, just spending a few days with Kaleb completely drains me.
I started a blog www.aaronwexler.blogspot.com
check it out. My first ongoing blog is about my childhood relationship to vegetables.
Best.

Having a child is definately fun and draining It has taken me a while to realize how important it is to have time to myself to do things I want to and need to do. It is a balance that I am constantly learning. And I try not to get discouraged if things don't happen as quickly as I would like. I hope when the October baby comes I will be more laid back. My plan is to strap the baby on and take her everywhere!

Rubens and I dream about living in Brooklyn. My brother and his wife used to live in Park Slope and we miss going to visit. But we have some good things happening in Philly and it has been nice to be here. Germantown is a little tough. We got a car stolen a couple of months ago, along with getting the windows of our vehicle smashed twice and our liscense plate cut. all at different times in the last year. despite that, it's great.

We would love for you to visit when in town.

hey lynne
I love what you said about the balance of children, and doing things that you need to do and for yourself. I'm constatly learning that too. This summer if somewhat bittersweet. The good is that I am with the boys alot, but it also means I'm doing very little art, and am very drained everyday!
